Well the interface cable showed up today at 2:15pm. Had everything installed and put back together by 4:30pm This system is very nice. Linked up with both of my phones with no problems. My entire contact list from my blackberry is viewable from the screen. Plays music from my Ipod and my 8gb usb drive and shows all the info including the cover art. I have the line in connected to my Sirius starmate. Oh I almost it makes calls and answers them through the stereo. Many many options, has an EQ, 3D spacelizer, playlists, voice recognition etc etc.

    Hello,

I have ordered a parrot MKi9000 and wiring harness.

where did you mount the bluetooth hardware. i don't want any vibrations, how did you do that. did you take out the radio and mount it behind. did you disconnect the 12 volt battery. did you route the mic around the door seal only or did you take the plastic off the drivers side "A Frame" i think someone called it, where the side curtain airbag is located. how is you MKi9200 holding up? any issues.

    thanks for any guidance.

I mounted the hardware behind the stereo with zip ties, its a small box and there was plenty of room. I did have to disassemble the entire dash to get to the stereo wiring but its really not hard. Everything just snaps together. I mounted the mic right on top of the MFD becuase I didn't want to run wires up through the A-pillers. The display is mounted right on top of the vent to the left of the MFD. No I didn't disconnect the 12V batt, but you should to be safe I guess. Only issue is the bluetooth volume is really low and you have to crank it up to hear it, its a known issue to the amplified JBL stereo because the bluetooth doesn't go through the amp. Other than that its great for all the options and display.

My Prius had one (9200) when I bought it.

I soon went to find a way to get rid of the class-D amplifier in the unit*.

So I now use the pre-output to an external headunit and the class-D amp is only used to drive the phone-speaker. Both the blue-box and the speaker are crammed behind the original (and no longer used) Prius radio and/or MFD.

    * the 9200 has an internal amp. When using your own headunit, the internal amp of that headunit is used. But when a call comes in or when you play your iPod, the internal amp of the headunit is switched OFF (a relay switched the output away from the leads going to the speakers) and the internal amp in the 'blue box' takes over.

    So the
    worked? No other issues.

I purchased a wire harness called a TOY-1Mki from another vendor and I'm getting no power to the Parrot.
