I have read that the SOC / CAN bus spoofs let the car run at highway speeds on electric power only. When does the PICC system spin the ICE during such driving ? All the time with the injectors off ? Occasional 'spin-ups' to sling lube oil in the trans-axle ?

How exactly is this done ?

So does the ICE spin like a big air pump with nothing to do 100% of the time during higher speed driving on the PICC / plug in supply versions ?
    Anybody ?

As far as i can tell it's possible to go up to 62mph with the ICE off without overspeeding MG1. above that they would need to spin the ICE. from memory it's 1-2kw to spin the dead ICE, which is not too much of a burden if you have a 10kwh pack.

On my Gen III when I have a full charge 8 bars, driving on a slight down hill, I've done 76mph stealth mode. The engine spins at idle speed, mpg on SGII shows 9999mpg. the MFD shows battery powering the electric motor green arrows, no red arrows from the ICE.
