does the FM radio have RDS?

    my stock FM radio does not show the RDS data on radio stations I know broadcast it.

    is there a setting I need to change to get it to show RDS? I went through the manual and didn't see anything.

    Really Dull Songs? I suppose FM has them. I know XM/Sirius is mostly RDS...

    Certainly the stock unit I removed had RDS and all the functionality worked OK, like AF, TA, PTY, radio text, EON etc. FM reception wasn't great and not all stations broadcast the extended radio text data that includes track title, but apart from that it was OK. I'm pretty sure that the radio text is on all the time and it's only the specific functions, like AF, TA etc that are user selectable.

    There is one RDS station for which our radio will not scroll the data. The "MSG" button must be pressed to show song title/artist, but you musr be stopped for it to work due to safety concerns which seems so ridiculous with all of the other screen activity going on.
