After some thought I purchased a set if Tein Springs and had them installed this weekend. In addition they realigned the wheels and adjusted to toe and camber. So far the ride is great. No rubs and the adjustments made the ride much smoother. The low profile tires are much rougher than stock, but that is the price of beauty. 5 AD Aero kit, 5AD S6:F 19 Wheels, Toyo Proxes Tires and my car has been transformed and I love it. Thanks to all on this forum for info, ideas and sources.

Good, take care with those wheels too, I've heard about the potholes around NYC.

I'm deciding between the Tanabe NFs and the Tein H. I've scraped bottom on other lowered cars so I am concerned about how low I should go.

You should get Eibach springs. 1.2"F/0.8"R. It's the only spring for the current prius that doesn't let the rear sag, meaning you'll also have a more agressive look. Tein and Tanabe are usually overdropped and undersprung.

macmaster - you have posted several posts about eibach springs - I agree w/ you I am not thrilled w/ my Teins - there is a very slight reverse rake which I HATE!!!

However, do you have any photographic evidence that Eibach will DEFINITELY give that nice front rake?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the comments. I went with the Tein's because 5 AD recommended them. I like the look and feel so far. I am sure I will cringe when I ultimately scrape the bottom, but its a trade off.

Randydid's Prius has Eibach springs and I think Randy did a good job - HAHAHA.

I do not work for Eibach or anything even close. There are a lot of questions about Gen III springs these days - people seem to be confused about which to buy. I'm merely responding to them with my best opinion, and hopefully helping them along the way. :)

Yeah - I figured you would post these of Randydid's car - I'm still not convinced though - It's not that much of an improvement over the Tein's - I see them as maybe more even...with a potential for reverse rake w/ people in the back or stuff in the trunk???

Anyway - do you even have a Gen III? - I realize you don't work at Eibach but you are quite obsessed with the Gen III and Eibach springs. Like I said, I have seen several of your comments on different threads - ha maybe you should start your own thread and just got it all out! :D

No, but once I was lucky enough to sit in one. Lol sheesh.

When people stop asking about springs I'll stop telling people.

When you have 2000+ posts you run out of things to say and start repeating things like an old man. Then you start to repeat things like an old man.

Macmaster05,,,, you are right on the Eibachs and the red car has the perfect drop! nothing too slammed but gives it a nice subtle drop without the huge wheel well gap.

I have a set of Teins on order and should arrive next week... willing to sell what i paid for them or trade for Eibachs!

I am happy with the Teins. The gap is gone, no rubs and I like the look. Good luck either way
