    Dear All

As many of us are doing various hypermiling techniques on Prius, there will be positive (as well as negative ) effects on various sub system such as Engine, Break, Investor, Traction Battery etc.

It is difficult to generalize as effects will also be depend on the weather, road condition, speed, length, traffic etc.. However if we can formulate the technique vs effects, it will be a good starting point for a new comer ( I am too)

For an example DWB will be beneficial for Break pads ( I do not know the negative side)

I suppose Hypermiling will be beneficial for Engine as we minimise the use of Engine and try to use it at optimum stage.

My understanding is if someone doing P&G properly on Prius, the load on Engine and Invertor is minimum so that both does not get heated up too much.

Even the use of Traction battery will be less on P&G

What are the negative effect (if at all?)
