I finished my installation of the fog light kit from the Priuschat store. Took me about 4 hours, but I don't have a good back, so there were several breaks along the way after bending under the dash and sliding under the car.

Here's a question, tho. Installing the fog light switch to the brown wire of the ECU results in the fog lights remaining on when you switch from low beam to hi beam. I thought the fog lights would cut off with the switch to hi beam. Did I install them correctly?

If the brown wire was specified, that is what will happen. You would have to run a relay to break the circuit once the highbeams were on. Not overly difficult to do.

Just finished my install of the OEM fog lights today. Took about 3 hours pretty easy really.

I also had a panic moment when everything was connected and, no lights. It was the bridge connector not making contact with the red wire, so I clamped down on the metal part and that got it working.

Also, at first examination I thought that the switch for the lights looked to be pretty good quality, but after almost breaking it I don't think so. I was putting the bottom plastic piece back on so I started to unhook the connections to the cover above so it would be out of the way, and when I pulled out on the switch connection it popped the side off and almost fell apart. After ever so gently tugging the stuck connector out I removed the switch and got it back together. I still think this could develop into a problem down the road, so I will make sure to push it on and off gently. Someone else said that they had one fall apart in dash and if I had thought about it I would have put electrical tape around mine.

It also looks like my lights are aimed up pretty high for foglight. The first picture is just the fogs, then just the HID low beams, then both HID and fogs.

Other than that pretty good kit and they look GREAT!

I installed my Priuschat fog lights this morning. Thanks for the instructions, pictures, and numerous comments!

I followed the suggestions and fastened the light to the holder prior to installing into the bumper. The urethane tabs on the bumper wouldn't latch into the lamp holder. I removed the lamp from the holder, then the installation of the holder went smoothly and quickly, and I then installed the lamp into the holder. I did the second light with the holder first, then the lamp, as I ended up doing the first light. The urethane tabs snapped into the holder without the lamp but I couldn't get a snap when the lamp was installed.

My second comment is that the relay wouldn't install on the "relay" screw because the screw cross-threaded, and wouldn't install on the "grounding" screw because of an adjacent screw head interfering with the relay body, so I used a cable tie to hold the relay to a Toyota cable bundle.

Hopefully someone with experience in aligning these lights will write the alignment process, particularly with lamp adjustment.

Also, when a bulb burns out, what is the replacement?

The bulb number is in the owner's manual. I can't remember it off the top of my head (But it's probably something common like a 9006 base).

Hi Danny-- still new around here, but from what i've gleaned so far-- what fits on a 2010 will work on an '11?

If so, I'd like to buy a set of these for my '11 (II) Prius.

    How do I purchase them?

    Thanks so much,

I'm sorry I must have missed it in the thread but what model bulbs does this kit use? Is it H-11 like the stock fog lights?

Anyone know if these are back in stock yet? I ordered about 1.5 weeks ago. Said they would be back in stock on the 6th of May but I haven't received anything regarding shipping.

If they don't, you can always put the kit together yourself (follow the fog light link in my signature).
