Purchased 10/09 for $23,019.00 has 16k miles, no accidents, oil changed every 5k or less (overkill), black, a few scatches , no accidents, running perfect.

Thinking of selling because i dont drive it much, about 8k a year.

not many for sale by owner lisiting in Portland (Oregon) Craigslist so hard to get idea of price.

I did have tinting done and it looks great, also purchased a set of top of the line studless snowtires ( Michelin X-Ice Xi2) ( snowed once in Portland last year)

KBB says 27k (which is crazy)
    Edmunds 21,800

    What should i ask for?

plan to get her detailed this week, have all receipts for service.

    Any advice is apprciated.

Shoot for the stars and be willing to come down. You should be able to get what you paid for it.

Kelly Blue Book gives unrealistic good price.

NADA (with 16K) gives $22,775 for clean trade-in and $25,875 retail.

I would just call dealer and find out how much new ones go for in your area.. then figure out something under it. MSRP with destination charge is $24,280 for Prius II, $25,280 for III, $28,080 for IV.

if you list it list KBB, NADA and site local availability good luck.

It sounds like you do not need to sell so time is not a worry so you can price it high and wait. I always try and have a rationale for pricing so I'd say split the difference between the two and list it at 25k.

You should expect to get what you paid for it.

I was at a dealer in Peoria, Illinois yesterday. They have none in stock and estimated that I could get what I paid for mine (also a II) or close to it. I have 26,000 on it.

In Chicago, dealers are getting 1000 over sticker.
