Wow, that was faster than I thought. you are in. Hazing will be later. :D

NOTICE: It's not a good idea to list email addresses here (unless you don't care about recieving SPAM). Any web page with an email address becomes a good snack for crawlers, spiders and other harvesting programs advertisers and the underground use to collect and sell your addresses.

I have done some investigating and found a list of the current/old Los Angeles group. In the old version of PC the group threads were hidden and once you subscribed to a group they became visible to you. That function doesn't exist in this version so I don't know how to join the group.

I will contact the group leader and see what is happening, if anything. I was thinking of setting up a web site for sign ups, RSVP and mailing lists but will first check to see if there is already one availible.

    Craig,
Great idea! Should be a ton of LA Prius owners at this point! We should plan for an event in January. Anyone else interested?

I'll say! A couple of weeks ago I traveled on Sunset Blvd from the 405 to PCH and counted 10 Prii going the opposite direction. Wow!

LA's such a big area. It would be great to mix it up by meeting at interesting places all around the county thoughout the next year -- for example, the type of places that are seen on Huell Howser's California's Gold.

Good idea! Any suggestions? You are always welcome to come to Monterey Park for some good Dim Sum.

Hmmm… Maybe historical sites like the Missions, or places like the Autry Museum (anywhere in Griffith Park for that matter), or perhaps Placerita Canyon State Park? I’m thinking of places that have open-air parking lots as opposed to parking structures. I’m also thinking of places where we could piggy-back a family outing with the meet.

Yes, I'd love to join an LA-based Prius group. But given the vast city...we either have separate meetings all over town, OR move the meeting around so no one has to drive too much (even in a Prius) :) .

I live in Cerritos (605 and 91...Cerritos Mall area). Anyone close by here??

Welcome to Prius Chat. We are ramping up to our 1st meet in Jan. The new group sign up web site should be ready for prime time in a week or so. We will post in this thread when and where so everyone can join.

The South Bay is beautiful this time of year...

On the other hand - I won't have my Prius for at least another month.
    Are almost-Prius-owners welcome?

As far as I'm concerned anyone who loves Prius is invited to join. The 1st meet won't be until at least Jan. so I hope you will be a proud owner by then. So I'm guessing you're going for an '06? That would be great to have an '06 at the 1st meeting.

I've taken this week off from building the sign-up web site but it's almost done already so after some testing I'll launch it.
