Been juicing my cherries without de-pitting them. Read online that there are traces of cyanide in these things. I've got 3 frozen smoothies that I certainly don't want to chuck. I think it'd be harmless, anyone else have a different slant on this?

Too little cyanide to cause any issues.

Fruit seeds that I eat: banana, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, and pomegranate.

I read about a case several years ago of a guy with a strange food fetish that ate a large mount of ground apple seeds and inadvertently did himself in.

I don't remember the amount, but it was something you wouldn't do just eating the seeds from a sane amount of fruit.

Do you grow blackberries. I tried and the thorns on those things are just nasty. I pulled them 6 years ago and I still get renegade strands growing amongst my raspberries.

Raspberries are relatively tame, compared to blackberries. With seasonal pruning, they behave and do quite well. Blackberries, on the other hand, are too invasive for an urban lot. They're pretty much everywhere, so I can always find some anyway - though it's best to pick them from the wilder spots, away from traffic.

I've depitted them before and my fingers are red for a week. I'll take the trace cyanide for the nutrients from my raspberries.

We have raspberries and blackberries growing out back, down along the stream. At one time they were part of someone's garden, but now they are wild.

OK, this is definitely the weirdest thread I have seen to date on PriusChat.

Not even close for me, but I've been around for a bit longer. Wait till we start talking about sheep again.

I think Jamba Juice puts red algae in some of their juices. I 'm not sure if there is cyanobacterium in that or what.

    Do tomato seeds count? ;)

The Vita-Mix pulverizes all seeds known to man.

Yes, but then you can use it next year. And the year after that. Etc. Etc.

I dare not post in the mellow yellow thread..but on the topic of seeds:
We had the sewer line blow out of military housing in FL and tomato plants started to sprout right next to the house (this was of course before the Vita-Mix).
Hmm, to eat or not to eat THOSE.....
