    Day 5 with my Prius. Other than using the speed dialing box on the phone or walking through the prompts/beep from "Tillie Toyota" as I call her - is there a way to voice command straight through and say something like "Call Joe Smith Home" and it'll dial?

    Thanks in advance for helping the newbie to the Prius V.

    I don't use voice commands for dialing numbers, but see if shortening the voice prompt menu helps. Do this on your nav screen:

    Setup. Voice. Turn off "Voice Recognition Guidance" or you can go to page 242 in the navigation system manual for more info.

    No. The quickest way that I've found is this:

    "Dial By Name" --> "Home"

    So you basically skip the "Phone" spoken command.

    You always have to state what kind of dialing you want the car to use - dial by name or dial by number.
