Is there anyway to tweak how Climate Control works?

My problem is that I really want Climate Control to CIRCULATE MORE AIR (ie run the fan faster) than it does by default.

I live in Houston and it gets pretty darn hot in the summer. If I set the AC to AUTO then it does blow out air at the right temperature - it just doesn't blow ENOUGH. For example, if I have it set to 75 then it can feel a lot hotter to me if sun is streaming in through the window. The *air* may be at 75 - but *I'm* not! (I do have window tint - this is mainly sun coming in through the windsheild).

Yeah, I know I could adjust the AC down (say to 72). But it then typically blows air at 72 - but not MORE air. So then I'm getting icy cold air out of the vents - but I still feel hot.

And yeah, I can take it out of Auto.

With AC=AUTO it seems like the fan is either LOW or HIGH ... very rarely at medium.

It'd be great to be able to somehow tweak the AUTO setting to always use 20% more fan.

    Otherwise - I *LOVE* the Prius!! :)

    MANY THANKS

It is not possible to "tweak" the AUTO defaults. However you are already aware that you can set fan speed and cabin temp manually.

You can try shutting off the passenger side and passenger center dash vents, so the driver vents get all the air!

    Many thanks for the replies.
I think I'd assumed that if I took it out of Auto (to increase fan speed) that it would not still hold the selected temp. But sounds like that assumption was wrong.

    THANKS AGAIN!

You are right that your assumption is wrong.
