2007 Prius - New Wheels/Tires, Navi, Warranty

Hey guys,

I've decided to part ways (or try to part ways) with my Prius and go with a different genre of car altogether.

Up for sale is my 07 Barcelona Red (I think that was the color name) Prius with a gray interior. The car has just over 70,000 on it and has been almost all highway miles (3x yearly trips between SC and TX, just to give you an idea).

I have recently put new 17" MOMO wheels on it with brand new Continental DWS tires at a cost of over $1,200. The tires have around 5k miles on them.

I also installed a Kenwood DNX9960 in the dash to replace the factory head unit. The install was professionally done and it looks as if it came from the factory. The unit will play DVDs, do dual zone entertainment (if you add screens in the back), navigation, and bluetooth phone (mic is installed). You can also add a backup camera and XM, if you so desire. The total cost of this install was over $1,500 all in.

I also have the "sway plate" that bolts to the undercarriage to improve handling and a billet grilled that has never been installed, but I will include with the sale.

Car has a clean Carfax/Autocheck (93/100). All maintenance has been done at 5k intervals and all recalls have been done.

Comes with the Toyota Extended Warranty through 100k and transferable to the new owner.

The car is located in Columbia, SC. I have clear title in hand.

I know...and I do love them. I'm not really looking to get rid of it at all costs...just if I can get the right price.

Looking to go into a bigger vehicle for family purposes. I will miss the MPGs.

 

After some consultation with a few people, I have lowered the asking price to...$17,700 OBO.

 

Forgot to add that the Kenwood has an iPod cable hidden in the cubby below the unit so your iPod connects right up and displays artwork. Also has a USB cable to plug in a USB drive.

The parking wire on the head unit is grounded so for those that want to be unsafe, you can watch a DVD while driving...I don't recommend it.

The "warning light" in the GPS photo is because the back hatch was open and the car was not in park.

The only issue, mechanical or otherwise, this car has ever had was a burned out left rear tail light bulb which has been replaced (not even an issue since bulbs are destined to go out...).

The car has had a fresh alignment done in the past 4 months. This was done after putting the new wheels/tires on the car.

Also, the tires come with the Road Hazard warranties from Discount Tire which will repair/replace any of the tires during their useful life (i.e. before they go to like 2/32 tread). they have around 5k on them now and I think they were 50k rated tires, but I'd have to go check for sure.

Finally, because several have asked (and it was my mistake not to post in the initial listing), there are a couple of very minor nicks around the car from normal wear and tear via parking lots. Nothing that is inconsistent with a 4 year old/70k mile car and nothing that someone skilled with touch up paint can't completely eliminate.

I wash the car on regular intervals and go at it with a clay bar and wax every few months to keep the paint as fresh as possible.

Warranty is Toyota ExtraCare Platinum purchased from Pat Lobb Toyota in McKinney, TX. The car is covered through 5/14/14 or 100,000 miles.

Just pulled the Carfax on it and can provide that to anyone who needs it (or the VIN so they can do their own CF).

KBB has it at 17,810.

Not sure where Edmunds gets their data but try buying any decent Prius for 12,xxx.

 

And dealer retail per KBB is 19,860.
