Rock hit the windshield on our 2008 Camry Hybrid about 3 months after we got it. Insurance paid and I wanted an OEM windshield from Toyota since it was still brand new. I got it, and because it was glass breakage, there was no deductible. At first the ins. co. didn't want to pay for it as the windshield was so expensive. $1000 from the dealer for OEM. After checking their sources, they found that they HAD to. The window replacement shop put in for the wrong windshield, which was cheaper. Further checking was, OOPS, we are wrong, do it. This after going back to my Insurance office and asking what the hell the problem was. All straightened out within a few hours. This was Allstate, by the way. They apologized for the mistake and all was well. I have had Allstate for 11 years and 2 totaled cars and had no problems with claims.
