The comma is in the wrong place. And the LA port handles cars for 8 states. 3,600 cars Maybe. Not thou, silly!

And 8 states share those cars. Maybe 9 states on Prius...

Who is they and what makes you think that info is infallible and absolute!? You can't even fit 36,000 cars at port honey. Not even close!!!!!

They is Toyota- they sent out that tweet- the official Toyota Twitter feed and it's still up.

Well, even if the comma is wrong- at least some cars are coming in I suppose. Odd their official twitter would be so off.

And reading it - it sounds like they are saying the first shipment of expected 36,000 for the summer. How many less is that than usual? The big question is- how far behind are they still?

Weird that a Toyota salesperson is not buying Official story. They have also said, that the production will be 100% by Sept this year. :)

Yeah seems like Toyoya is saying 100% by September but salespeople aren't agreeing. It's getting to the point don't know what or who to believe- but it's cars and I guess we can't predict the future. But soon I may have to start looking at other cars if it looks like Prius won't be available for a normal price in the next month or 2.

    That's the million dollar question.
There's so damn much info floarting around, it's all freakin' BS.
I'm like Cuba Gooding Jr in Jerry Maguire.

    SHOW ME THE CARS!

    Capische?
They blow smoke up everyone's ... er, you know.. but the plain fact is, cars are still short supply. And, 75% of what we get is package II. I know why... do you?

And, *how far behind* is a curious question.
You are not behind at all if your usual buyers went and bought something else from another manufacturer or something else Toyota or Scion or Lexus builds. Or, bought their old Prii off lease and are waiting for the v or the PHEV. Or, bought a used Prius...
And, you are not behind at all if you don't have buyers for the cars because they are afraid to find out what it will cost them for the Prius right now as gas is still at $4 and they KNOW the quake took all the wind out of our sails.

So, that said, I have no idea what the tweet was. No idea what it was based in, how many states it covers and most certainly what the "end game" is... yes, there are 36,000 cars "coming. Of course there are. Eventually, there will be that and more "someday".
How many are II's? How many are III's? How many states are they all going to over how long a time frame?

Till the details are IN, it's all just smoke, in my humble opinion. It's kind of like me pinning a $100 dollar bill on my office wall and explaining that it's the start of the million I want to make. What's my time frame? And, how many others share in that million along the way?
