Good reply but disappointed with the last line.

Here in Minnesota, (Note: blue state, Wellstone, Mondale, etc), multiple DUI's get you the dreaded "Whisky Plate". it's a plane white plate with 2 letters and 4 numbers, first letter being W (our normal plates are the 3 letter 3 number ABC-123 with the decorative background). I'm not sure if it's the 2nd, 3rd or what will get you these but I believe level of intoxication also has a factor.

If this isn't enough to deter, there is forfiture, anything over something like .25 or a DUI with whisky plates, means the local police get to keep your car!

Better listen to the cop, he knows best. If you disagree you better be happy about paying taxes too. The cost for tough penalties for property crime and drug offenders is stupid expensive and the benefit is negligible.

Pink plates would be cruel and unusual punishment, the option of locking the person in the town square to throw tomatoes at them should be explored also.
