Can Someone tell me how to get this piece of Rubber sorted!
Singapore is a Tropical country and its summer for a year. I think this is a defect from Toyota.
How can this be sorted out?
I cannot imagine a 2008 Prius also had this problems.
Is it only me or anyone of you having the same problem?

all of the time i've been on here.. i've never heard of that problem...

i've heard that toyota re designed the rear housing with silver instead of black because the temps in there were warping plastics. maybe this is a new issue that should be brought to toyota's attention...

Very common there's a long thread about it plus Patrick posted good instructions on how to replace it yourself right below this thrread:

I am sure I saw this forum but the thing about this is that, the replacement parts are not available in Singapore.....

And one more silly idea is that, the rubber is melting but apart from that everything still works. Can I get just a piece of rubber and replace it rather then replacing the whole mechanism?
