0w-20 synthetic - now in bulk at dealers?

    Well, one could walk around the back of the dealership and see if the bulk containers are labeled appropriately.

    Usually another way you can verify what oil is used by the dealer is to call the parts department and ask them. They will usually be caught by surprise and just tell you what they know.

    I did just that, and when they had their new owners meeting with a local zone rep I asked the question, "What spec does your oil meet" his face turned red and he took my name and number and said he would get back to me, he never did, I'm not putting anything into anything I own if I can't tell what it is.
    Does anyone know?

    While I don't disagree that a big drum with the word OIL on it does not seem attractive it seemed nobody had a problem when this oil was in plastic containers that said OIL on it.

    I understand the contamination concerns though.
