Green Drive Expo - Madison. July 23 & 24, 2011

    Green Drive Expo rolls into Madison, Wisconsin July 23 & 24 for it's sixth year of fun and we look forward to seeing you there!

    We've been dispelling myths and sharing information about green vehicles for six years now, and it's people like you that make Green Drive Expo great.

    There are always plenty of PriusChat folks there. Some have already registered and now it's time for you to register, too. The weekend is like a big family reunion and I can't wait to enjoy hanging out with everyone.

    Toyota will be there showing off their latest and greatest and it will be a place to get you questions about the Prius v answered. Of course it's not all about Toyota or hybrids, you'll also see cars from local dealers, hand built cars, Electric Vehicle Association cars, electric motorcycles, and more.

    There will be plenty for the public to see and do, but for those of you who sign up as VIPs we'll have plenty more!

    Fun things like the MPG Challenge on Friday, Owners Showcase on Saturday, cruise-in night on Thursday, awards, door prizes, private technical and user sessions.

    Allright Green Drive Expo VIPs, email with lot's of juicy info went out to everyone last night. I think the demand for the TonyPSchaefer autograph is going to be high this year! Especially after he wins in the MPG Challenge!

    Well, I just got roped in - er, I mean I just volunteered to be a speaker Sunday afternoon at 1:00. I'm not sure but I'm guessing that I'm the filler between more important speakers.

    Several years ago I did a speech called "Five Tips to Improve Your Mileage" or something like that. this will be in the same vein. I'm calling it "Hypermiling 101: How to Beat the EPA" or something like that. It's not for the hardcore hypermilers like many on this board but rather geared for the general public who wonder in from the Kane County Fair. All the straight-forward things like planning your trips, anticipating traffic, driving sensibly and the like. As I said, nothing Earth shattering for most Priuschatters, but I'm often surprised at how some of the general public are still learning these things.

    So if you're going to be at the GDE stop by at 1:00 on Sunday and help me not have to speak to empty chairs.
