Has anyone ever dropped their Smart Key Fob before?

I had it on my kitchen counter before it was recklessly knocked over with the rest of my keys onto my wooden floor.

It still works fine as I can tell, but I'm wondering if it made for stuff like that?

i've dropped mine several times on concrete with no ill effects. i don't think there's anything in there you can break without a really hard smash.

Yeah, dropping it I've done and it's fine. Now washing it or swimming with it may be another story...

Running it over. That'd be another bad one too.

I once asked my wife to toss it to me from the second floor window. She just let it drop straight down to the asphalt driveway. It has worked fine since. No ill effects at all.

(I will not ask this of her again.)

A number of people have sent it into the wash but air dried it. I think it's fairly durable. (unless you run over it or otherwise intentionally damage the circuit board inside).

Went swimming with mine and after air drying it still worked.

If you get the fob wet....like submerged wet, you can try immediately removing the battery, shaking out the excess water, and sticking into some dry rice....like a bowl full.
The fob is pretty durable. I've dropped mine a bunch of times...sometimes from a 12' ladder onto a concrete floor (I work in telephone offices, which have plenty of both, and my fob is always falling out of my pocket.)
I don't think you'll have any problems with yours.

    Good Luck!
