How to tell if a Prius has the Advanced Technology Package

    That just means it's a Prius V (or 5 for 2011). That does not mean it has the Advanced Technology Package.

    When I was trying to look at online ads to buy a USED prius with ATP , I didn't know about the flat grill emblem or the sonar sensors, and those things are hard to see in the online photos sometimes.
    But what I did, was look at he inside photo of the steering wheel, 2 extra buttons always confirmed me that this car on sale has ATP.
    The point of the original poster is that a lot of dealerships do not have time to write so much detail description for the cars. So they just write "Prius v with Nav and leather" etc.
    Some online ads did not have inside photo, so I asked a few dealers to send me inside photos including steering wheel. And that did the trick for me!!
    Actually in my case, the "used car" seller/dealer was not aware of the ATP so I got a pretty good deal. ;)

    Fair enough but, depending on region, V/Fives may be a rare sight. Ours look the same as a base model from afar.

    Sweet. Wish I could find dealers with that problem down here, but unfortunately they seem to have the reverse problem and are trying to selling used 2010 Prius II's for the price of a new 2011 V with ATP. Some even claiming in their ads that they have ATP when clearly from the photos it's not even a V.

    Sheesh, I have stared at these two photos for some time, and I don't see the difference in the emblems. Can someone give me some clues here? :(

    The difference is on the non advanced tech one the chrome toyota 'stuff' is raised and the blue underneath is recessed in.

    On the advanced tech it's all flush, the whole emblem is flat.
