Hi everbody, I had just joined the fourm and also bought a grey Prius Two base model, for $22,533.74 + tax + license + others fee = $24,799.00 out the door.

Is this a good deal ????

I'm so excited about my new prius, any good tips....

Yes, that's a good deal. Did it have many miles on the car?

I hope this a sign that supply is returning, prices will get back down to pre-quake levels and sales will go up to March levels.

I'm in Los Angeles, and the car had 2 miles on it.

Thanks guy/gals, I also bought the black rear bumper protector and Euro Mud guards from PriusChat store.

Anyone have any experience or opinion on the 2 items above ?

    Congrats and :welcome: to PriusChat!

I'm not sure what you need as I do have both (bumper protector from the factory as it was part of the Tech Pack in Canada) and the Euro guards from the PC shop. The mudguards are quite long so if you parallel park and go in too sharply, you'll scrap the guards first before the alloys so it's a good alloy protector too lol.

Never really put the bumper protector to the test since I've never really rested anything on the bumper (choosing to rest it on the sill instead). I do like the fact that it wraps around the top of the bumper to protect the edges.

When I was quoted a Prius II base then a dealership pulled a bait and switch on me. Told me all they have we're base model with BT and sticky decal on rear.

Actually they said that this is the lowest they would carry, just BS so I left.

Turn around and bought from a honest dealership and told me that some dealership purposely only buy base model with BT and decal to trick buyers to spent more money on options that they don't need. I personally have 2 BT earpiece therefore have no use for the factory one and
I rather get a dark plastic bumper guard instead of the sticker.

Yeah i know right? They gave me the same story. I would have rather gotten the rear bumper guard and the aftermarket navi like the rosen but now since I already have blue tooth, I'm thinking of canceling that plan and using my phone as navi now or go with a Tom tom.

Are you planning to do any upgrades?

I just got all weather floormats and thinking of an hid kit. Just not sure which kit to go with yet.

I think you got a pretty good deal. I am not looking for 2011 but I occasionally check the newspaper on the weekend to judge the local market. Last weekend I saw 3 or 4 Toyota dealers with 2011 Prius II's for approximately the same price you got yours for and one dealer in San Diego who had some in the $21,000's. So if you are in Southern California it might make sense to check out the San Diego dealers online. (Internet Sales Manager types)
    Enjoy your cars!
