Yesterday while gliding up to a red light this Jeep SUV driver gunned the engine and swung around my car to take the space in front. I did not change my driving routine and went on my merry way as usual. To my great delight I always caught up with this guy at the next cross walk, traffic light, or stop sign, even though sometimes the Jeep would have gone out of sight for quite a while (leaving an open road for pulse and glide by the way). I looked up google map and found this episode of hare vs. tortoise went on for 6 miles! Too bad I didn't have my dash cam set up at the time.
I know what you mean, all that wasted effort to get ahead of you simply because your driving a Prius. Having a GenIII I'm always temped to go to "power mode" when I catch up at the next light.
