So I realize this is probably an extreme edge case BUT…

any chance Toyota could increase the number of vehicles you're eligible to purchase from 1 to 2 or 3? The parents were apparently completely clueless about the fact that pre-order registration closes and I'd rather not get into the questionably pleasant discussion of who gets to "order" the car once the ordering system opens.

Prius Team, any comments on this? I understand the motivation behind limiting the number of cars — you don't want one person acting as a reseller and using his registration to buy hundreds of vehicles and reselling them — but perhaps the number could be bumped to at least two vehicles per account?

I doubt it. My father is ordering one but I signed him up separately with his own account and priority registration... Worth asking though, hey, ya' never know.

my understanding is that mst dealers will be setting aside a percertage of the plug in Prii they will be allocated for folks who aren't on the reserve list. Your parents will be able to buy then even though it might be a several weeks later.
