Satellite radio?

Earlier this year I e-mailed Toyota.com and was told that satellite radio would be offered on the 2006 Prius, so I deferred buying a 2005 in anticipation (satellite radio has me addicted). Now I see that it is not offered after all, at least according to the information on this site and on the downloadable brochure from Toyota. Does anyone know whether it is possible to obtain factory-installed satellite radio in a Prius, and if so, the cost? I am disappointed that Toyota apparently wasn't entirely straight with me.

In the 2006 brochure it's listed under accessories as:

XM Satellite Radio, $449 (installed MSRP)
    (available March 2006)

    Frank,

According to the downloadable brochure on the 2006 Prius that you reference, XM radio WILL be a dealer-installed accessory (rather than a factory-installed option). It will not be available until March, 2006, however. Check the back of the brochure where accessories (everything from floor mats to the glass breakage sensor, to the XM radio) are mentioned. Note that XM shows up both in the eBrochure customized for my area (ZIP 95134), and in the generic eBrochure.

The Toyota branded Sirius tuner should also work in the 2006. It works on the 04-05s.

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I don't have the printed brochure yet (it's on the way), and I'm glad to see that satellite readio is available as a dealer-installed accessory.
