While following my wife in my company vehicle, traffic started backing up real fast in front of her. I am one that is always on the defensive while driving looking way ahead of me for possible danger. I was seeing that the traffic was backing up and watching my Pri in front of me at the same time. I was thinking to myself that she should be hitting the brakes real soon. But not soon enough. I seen the front of the car bow down from the "to late" applied brakes and it plowed into an SUV in front of her. I also had to get on my breaks, very glad not to rear-end my own car. As soon as my company truck came to a stop , I was rear-ended myself by a JEEP from hell. This made for real good small talk at the accident scene as the people who rear-ended my thought that it was so awsome that both the vehicle belonged to me. Of course in the back of my mind I was pile driving those people in the middle of the highway. My Pri is in the hospital now and I am hoping to get her out by Christmas. She's not alone though, there were two other Prius in for repairs.

Always in the holiday season. I hope everyone is OK. Ouch. Watch out insurance companies like to total Prii. Too expensive to repair. Stand your ground. We want you back on the road.

    Sorry, Prop.
Do yourself a favor and be sure to not indicate that you yourself was a responsible driver surrounded by less careful drivers - including your wife.

Now that I think about it, every person that has hit one of my cars hasn't had any insurance. The last one even canceled her insurance right after the collision before I had a chance to call them. I always just live with the damage. I won't be able to do that with my Christine.

The funny thing about this is that no longer than 15 minutes before the accident I was talking to my Prius salesman about the 2006 models and how much the deposit would be.
