It just came to me that the display is bright to view in daylight. How bright is it at night? Is there a way to adjust the brightness so it won't be distracting driving while it's dark?
I drive in the dark most of the time...
    Thank you,

The dash & nav display will automatically go to night mode - darker/reverse from day mode - when you turn on the headlights. There are several adjustments you can make to the colors, there is a dimmer wheel to control the brightness. If you turn the dimmer all the way up it will force it back to day mode.

All in all quite adjustable and not a problem. Also the option to completely turn off the nav display at anytime.

The only concern that some folks have expressed is that the dash lights (ODO etc) can reflect off of the windshield. Hasn't been a major distraction for me.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

I don't think it goes to night mode automatically

Yes, when you turn the headlights on, like Jeff said. Well, with one exception -- if you have forced daylight mode to stay on all the time.

That's what I meant, if you didn't make the change for the NAV to be in night mode in the settings on the MFD, it will not change anything when you turn the lights on. Alternatively, you can just dimm the screen and the dashboard and leave it there and next time you turn the lights on it will remember the last setting.

What was my Avatar doing on the Tonight Show?

By default it will switch to night mode when you turn on the lights. You have to tell it otherwise if you want it to stay in day mode. Whichever way you go, it will stay that way day-to-day until you make another selection.

Jay just thought the clip was funny, I think...
