    bob, does the leather cover the center console and door armrests? it appears to. also, just to confirm, no heated seats as part of the leather package, right?

    hey bob! are you able to tell how much Vinyl is used versus the Leather in your car?

    i'm the one that wishes the prius was vinyl-free. i'm considering package 8 but also, perhaps, package 7 then getting the leather done here locally.

    for anyone else that may know the evils of vinyl and it's relative production environmental issues... I've got a message in with apparently the environmental guru at Toyota USA.
    I'll post whatever they inform me with filtering the potential greenwashing.

    yes, I am comparing the environmental impact of Leather versus Fabric. The finishes and polyester extrusion/dying techniques can be just as degratory as vinyl. then there's the "rightness" of Leather.

    okay... off my soapbox!

    Maybe a new owner can be more precise, but the owner's manual only shows a single dash light that comes on if any of the tires is found to be lower than some threshold (5 PSI? I think I saw that number in some documentation that I read) in pressure. Per the wiring diagram, the sensors are actual pressure sensors in each wheel, communicating wirelessly to an ECU. The tire pressure sensor is NOT based on the ABS system measuring wheel rotational speed.

    has anyone been able to verify if the undercarriage support Stiffening plate (what the BT Tech Part replaces) has been changed in the 2006 model? Is the BT part still necessary?

    I hate to be the one to ask for yet another photo but can you please take a photo of the rear light cluster (just one side) while someone has their foot on the brake? I would like to see if the LED's on top look more red and LED like with the clear plastic and shrome trim... Thanks for ALL the other pics you took the time to post, they are great! Good luck with the car.

    What is the compelling reason for leather #8?
    I currently have leather in my Saturn and HATE it
    Cold in the winter...hot/sticky in the summer. Ended up covering the seats (which looks dumb)

    Maybe if Prius came with heated seats.......


    I've ordered Red, grey, #7

    Can some one convince me to change to #8?

    Did you take a different camera to upload pictures onto imagevenue. They seemed to be sharper and by the way what digital camera did you use to take out such nice pictures? Many Thanks for so many pictures. I will be hopefully picking up my 06 soon.

    I HATE leather! (There, I feel better.)

    Toyota fabric is superb quality and easy to clean. Comfortable hot or cold.
