I am close to upgrading to a TRD rear sway bar but I'd like to know if anybody is interested in buying my current Touring rear sway bar. This will definitely fit a non-Touring Prius (2004-2009) and is a beefier sway bar than the standard one. The standard Prius rear sway bar is 19mm in diameter whereas the Touring's is 20mm. This improves cornering and overall handling. This part sells new for $89 on Sigma Automotive. My Prius has 38000 miles so it's in really good condition. I'm thinking somewhere around $50 should do it. To put it in perspective the TRD bar sells for $160 and is 24mm in diameter, so IMO, you get what you pay for. Local pick up preferred - I reside in NorCal. Again, this is just a feeler. I don't plan to drive without a rear sway bar, lol. Thanks.
It took me a while to figure out where on sigma automotive that part was listed Toyota Prius 2004 ~ 2009 NHW20 Performance, Handling & Electronic Accessories :: Sigma Automotive The desciption only shows up as tooltext (hover mouse over "OE Touring Ed. Sway Bar Upgrade") I'd love to have the 22mm front / 20mm rear bars on my 2005 Prius but I just can't afford them even at used pricing.
