Ordered gps from china

    so i order this chinese GPS:

    Cant post link yet sorry...i am not allowed by priuschat

    was assured it would fit left hand drive prius. got unit and tried to install it. It didnt fit..it was a RHD unit. Seller thought it would fit because it "looked the same". long story short..i either have to pay alot to ship it back to china or find a way to make it fit...Does anyone sell a trim to replace the stock trim so it would fit? Does anyone want to trade or buy?

    wow that sucks, i would make the seller eat the shipping fees since it was his fault and he assured you that it would fit your car.
    if you paid with Paypal, then i am sure you could call them and ask for their help.

    they are currently looking for a left hand drive.. I dont they will have one since they didnt even know they were diferent. Ill see if anyone with a Rhd prius wants this for the price I paid.

    I'd just file a dispute with pay pal, or with whatever credit card you used to pay. You wee told it was for a LHD. They shipped the unit to the United States. You shouldn't have even had to ask if it was for a LHD.

    Reverse the charge and the company will have to pay the return shipping charge.

    i agree....but i am gonna give the seller time to fix his mistake....he says he will find a LHD unit.
    im sure PayPal will side with my since i have all the emails as proof

    The longer you wait the harder it becomes so watch yourself. Cover yourself, don't watch out for the sellers interest. He made the mistake and is making you pay return shipping? I wouldn't say he is watching out for you at all on this one.....

    Why would you want a unit from a vendor who doesn't know the difference between a LHD and a RHD unit. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather get my money back and find another vendor.

    Will you be happy if you wind up with a generic 2DIN unit with a Prius specific plate and wiring harness?
