    Hello!

I have a 2005 Prius and the original NAV DVD in the nav. system.
I want to make a backup copy of this DVD for safe keeping.

I have DVD DL recorder and DVD+R DL blansk.

Can I use Nero 7 and use Copy DVD feature?

    Thanks.

Create an image from the disk... that way you can burn it anytime you want. Barring any trickery on the DVD manufacturer (like dropping a fully blank track in the middle of the disk with a track redirect at the end of the track prior), nero will copy it fine... I've only had 1 DVD, and it was a software DVD that had that blank ring right through the middle of it... nero, roxio, k3b, brasero.... none could copy it.

I am using Imgburn and created the inage of my original nav disk.
Now when I try to make the disk, Imgburn says shows the follwing error:

E 15:35:08 Optimal layer break position must be a multiple of 16.
    E 15:35:08 Optimal L0 Sectors: 1,986,340
    E 15:35:08 Next Largest Acceptable Value: 1,986,352
    E 15:35:29 Operation Failed! - Duration: 00:00:21

on the left window of Imgburn for source it syas

    Sectors: 3,972,560 ( Mode1/2048) (LB: 1,986,340)
How to change the sectors as complained by the Imgburn above.

My drive is: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H40N RG01 (ATA)
    Current Profile: DVD+R DL

It is an LG drive. I also tried to chagne using the book but it give me errors.

    Thanks.

try using something a bit more known.. like nero (the trial is free), roxio ex cd creator, etc.

When you create the image, any errors? It could be using a truly blank track like I mentioned in my original post.

    Thanks for the input.
    I finally got it working.
What I did was first copied all the contents of the original dvd into a directory and then used Imgburn to recreate the image. The burned that image and it worked.

That's great. I could never get the copy to work like the original in my 2006 prius.
