Traded in my 2010

    I wanted more luxury than I could get in a Prius and so, while I was perfectly satisfied with my 2010 V (17" wheels, nav, mud guards, shark fin, tinted windows, side moldings, almost new Michelins, all weather cargo mat, and much more), I traded it in for a 2012 Lexus CT200H with the FSport trim and suspension in Pearl Blizzard with the navi and upgraded radio. Navigation seems much clearer, feels faster and is slightly less economical, but I love the looks. I have never cared for the fastback look. I have had it for about a week and I love it. I especially like the blue nulux interior and so does my dog.

    I will still keep looking and posting since there are so many similarities and this is a great font of information.

    Thanks to all of you who have been so helpful for the past year or so.

    I've been toying around with the same idea. I'm on the Plug-In Priority list and was planning on getting the version with the advanced tech pack so I could have similar features to my current 2010 V. That makes the sticker price just under $40K. At that price, I thought that I should see what $40K can get me elsewhere.

    In the last week, I've been to the Lexus dealership twice already. The CT200h has a lot to like about it (especially when loaded with options). The couple things that bug me include the significant loss of cargo room and rear seat leg room. It is really tight back there. Also, the way they have the USB port and related wiring on top is a little annoying. Finally the exposed cup holders preclude a decent armrest.

    On positive side, I absolutely love the build quality. Everything feels a few steps higher in grade of material and solidity.

    So I am still on the fence with regards to skipping the Plug-In and going for the CT200h.

    I've seen a CT200h and was really impressed with the interior quality. However, when I went to sit in the back seat to see how comfortable it would be for an adult, I was put off by the lack of rear legroom. I don't know how far back the front seat was and if I'd have it back that far if I drove the car, but I physically would be unable to put my leg into the rear seat area to get into the car.

    If the driver seat is back at a comfortable distance for the driver, is there any room for a rear seat passenger? Or do you have to do what I've done with all my cars and move the driver's seat up several notches the allow the rear passenger a small amount of legroom?

    Yeah i love my Prius edition Touring here in Canada, but i want to make the move to the Lexus! Im single and still young, im planning to get the F-sport in ultra sonic blue! But im not ready to trade as i would loose too much still!

    The quality is superior, but the rear compartment is markedly smaller. I didn't use it too often, but I was surprised at the lack of storage capacity, even under the back floor above the spare. In my Prius I kept a bag with all sorts of stuff under the carpet but I can barely fit the manual and an airpump in the Lexus.

    I took a beating on my trade in, but I had some Lexus Loyalty money that was expiring, so I was lucky to be able to find the car I wanted in time.

    Depends on how tall the driver is. At 6'2" I would have the seat just about all the way back. To allow most people to sit back there, I'd have to move the seat up so I'm getting crowded. In regular Prius, I can set the seat where I like and someone can still sit comfortably behind it without me moving forward.

    CT is only 170" long which is kinda short ... it's a compact car.
