    Hi all,
So after lurking and waiting since May I finally made the jump and purchased my very first Prius and wanted to know your thoughts on the deal and if it was a good one. But either way, wow..I am loving my Prius..:D

BTW - I did post this in the Dealer and Pricing forum, but no one was responding. So sending to you all, to get your take.:)

Be advised that I live Minnesota, so supply has not trumped demand quite yet. In my region, demand seems to be on parity with supply. But definitely better than 3 months ago..

    Price: $22,900

    2010 Prius 4 with 17,000 miles.

Dark Blue, Loaded with leather, JBL, Navigation, backup camera.IPOD connection. Pretty much everything except for solar sunroof. Tinted windows.

Newly Installed 2 -way Car Starter with LCD remote and 1/2 mile range. Newly installed aftermarket Navi with backup camera. (I don't know how the stock Navi looks or works, but this after market one rocks. It can play DVD's as well and I can actually control my iphone from the unit like it was an IPOD!)

Immaculate condition. Purchased from dealer, who in turn purchased off auction in Florida. Carfax checks out. 1 owner, no accidents, dealer maintenance every 5000 miles, was recently repo-ed voluntarily from the last owner.

-let me know if I missed anything!

    - Already thinking about what next to buy for my Prius..Mudguards? For sure All weather tech mats with the winter coming!

    Thanks!!
    Ethan

:welcome: I have almost the same car except 2010, solar package and unfortunately no ipod interface since mine was built in the first half of the year. I'm not familiar with your market area but sounds like a very good deal to me.

    Congrats on a new Prius...

I am debating between a new one vs used one. My local dealer is offering a brand new base 2011 model for $21,000 + tax + fees.

I test drove a similar one with lower miles and it was no-haggle priced at CarMax for $28,999. So it sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

Got the same car (in black) a few months ago and paid a grand more - but here is SoCal, prices are a little higher. I would say that you got a good deal.

The only reason to buy used is that you want more toys for the same money, but you also get the wear and tear. At 21 for a new 2 you are getting it at pre tsunami pricing, it's a good deal. I paid 21100 for my 2 in early March and was happy with that price but the only fee was the $55 doc fee.

    Thanks Sam!

The private dealer installed it for me to sweeten the deal. He apparently works for a local after market auto shop called Sunroofs Inc. in Plymouth MN.

I have the AUTOSTART 2 -way LCD.

Below is the link. Standard price is about 500 bucks. But will costs more likley since it's a prius. 600-700 bucks?

1 week in with the 2010 Prius and it rocks..I already bought Husky car mats for the winter. (70 bucks for front and back area, off Amazon if your interested)..and the Car Start is awesome...love the 2 way confirmation! You must get the two way..:)

    Sunroofs Etc

Oh, and winter tires..Not sure yet. Was thinking about it..figured I'd drive first to see how it works out in the snow..:)

    Take care!

I was looking at Vipers remotes at Big-Buy! Don't know about installers there,Always a little nervous when there cuttin wires under the dash! As far as Tires go you should be ok around town with your stock tires, They dump enough salt and sand on the roads! The Toyo 17" tires on my pkg five are like banana peels on snow! Blizzaks WS70s on order! Costcos got them 100 bucks off! $362 for a set 4 mounted.

Don't forget grille blocking! Seems to help the MPG!and car stay warmer!

Love Costco, that's where I get all my tires too..:) Can't beat the Nitrogen..:D

What's grill blocking? Do you mean like a heat block or do you mean a car bra? How does that affect MPG? Thanks!

Owned my 2010 Prius two weeks. Loving it. Got base model with blu tooth added on for 13599. It has 74565 miles on it but looks brand new. So far I've been able to get 50 mpg
