Too late Prius team. The rabid, slathering fandom have already discovered this fact.

Now to unleash my plan for turning on the computer virus I have written and installed on every Priuschat member computer so that I can be assured ownership. Cue "bwahaha"-ing.

I'm sad they don't show Blue Ribbon Metallic as a color for the plug in prius.

And there is only one option not in the regular plug in that I'd want (the autodimming homelink mirror). So if I ever go that route all I have to do is look for the cheapest one in clearwater blue metallic and swap the mirror.

Sorry, but I really don't get who you are trying to keep the secret from. The only people who are allowed to order all got the email telling them when, and it's plastered all over the website.

In the faq on the site it also says:

When will I be able to place an online order? When is the Priority Order Window?

The Priority Order Window will open from approximately 9 a.m. PST, November 17, 2011 through noon PST, December 15, 2011, while supplies last. Ordering will close in each state when the state's order allocation is sold out.

I wonder how many units are allocated per launch state.

Are you guys serious? It's a car not a heart for transplant. If you don't get one now you'll get one later. If they sell like hotcakes Toyota will figure out a way to make more batter.

 

I don't want to go off topic, but yes. Ordering started 9/30, you just have to wait 3 months for delivery, and had your $99 reservation in.
