This is probably too late, but I just took out our cd changer and here's what we did. We took off the car dash panel (looked it up online), took off the mounting bracket, (we had to use a ratchet set on one). I removed (6) screws from the bottom plate with the model numb. on it. I used a flat head screw driver to "pop up" the panel. Under that there are smaller screws that hold a triangular shaped plate on. (2) on one corner and one on the other corners. You have to pry the plate out from under the main body where a number is stamped. Just use a flat head. I was able to get the cd that was in "Play mode" out by shifting it around a little and lifting the triangular panel up and pulling out the cd. the other cd I was able to shift manually and it clicked into a spot where I could push it out the cd slot in the front of the device. If you have more cds in there you should be able to move them up and out in the same fashion.

Putting it back together is simple if you remember where all the screws go. You have to pry the triangular panel back into place and under the main body. IMPORTANT thing to look for is make sure you have the springs back in place under the back corner screw and there is a plastic rod under the screw you had to remove by the (2) screws. This is the one next to the one you have to pry up. MAKE sure you have your "pins" aligned under your plates. There are (2) by the (2) screws that gave me the most problems. Replace the top (with the mod. number on it) and remember the two screws that look different go together on the back and the panel should fit back on.

I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WILL WORK AGAIN, BUT at least you will have your cds out. We are currently looking for a replacement since it was making horrible noises.

Thanks - I wound up having a new cd changer put in - expensive, but I did get my CDs back!

Was this another player from Toyota and how much did it cost. I have the same problem and the CD isn't even recognized by the player so it won't even try to eject it.

Did you try disconnecting power from the system for a few minutes then reconnecting power to essentially reboot the system.
