I found this site on AARP website, seems to be an affordable tool, easy to use. Will be ordering one this week, so will update the post later on.

    Pros
This device is cheaper than a ScanGauge2 by something less than $70. (I couldn't find the S&H charge).

    Cons
This device runs on disposible batteries.
The SG2 provides missing instrumentation in addition to checking for and clearing codes.
This device can only be used on a limited number of vehicles. The additional tech support is limited.

This device strikes me as a 1 trick pony dumbed down SG2. It will be interesting to read the opinions of the technically inclined.

JimN, one more thing. The SGII gets a lot of Prius user support on Prius chat. Miscellaneous readers don't.

The MD unit costs $120. For $160 at the Prius Chat shop. For the extra $40 the X-Gauge option is well worth it. The CarMD is for cars that are non Hybrid!
