    Moto 330v works really well.

Not sure about address book transfers.

Getting numbers into the Prius was awkward, to say the least. I only had 10 or so, so not a big deal; but if I had a lot I would have been annoyed.

I have a Sony Ericsson Z520a, and it works fine. I did the whole phonebook transfer and single record transfer. The connection between the car and the Z520a is flawless.

Moto V635 works great. No battery readout on MFD, everything else is fine, including transfers(one at a time).

I went and got a Z520a based on this comment and had a really hard time getting it to work, but I finally got the darn thing working now. It was actually very easy to get the first connection and transfer the phone book, but it took a lot of messing around to figure out how to make it auto-connect thereafter.

I made the mistake of making the first contact using the "add device" under the phone's bluetooth menu. When you do that, it connects and all works fine until the first disconnection, after that you can never get it to reconnected without going through the registration sequence every time.

It turns out you must make the first contact (but not a full connection) from the "handsfree" entry in the phone's bluetooth menu. But this only works if you didn't ever add it as a "device" first. You have to delete all reference to the Prius as a device first, then add it as a "handsfree". Then you connect it as a device and then it auto-connects fine thereafter.

The odd thing is that when you add the Prius as a "device", it appears in the list of "handsfree", as well as "devices". Similarly if you add it as a "handsfree", it automatically appears as a "device" It was fairly frustrating since there is nothing visibile on the phone to distinguish betweent the two ways you told the phone about the car except that one way it will never auto-connect and the other way it always will.

    Anyway that is my experience.

I'd love to know how you transfer the whole phonebook. I can transfer single records, but I can't figure out how to transfer the whole deal, and the manual for the Z520a does not seem to mention transfer of multiple (or all) records.

    So: What's the secret?
Thanks in advance for any help...

Menu -> Contacts (third row center)
    Options ->Advanced
Scroll down to "Send all Contacts"

before doing this, set up the prius to accept contacts.

    Hello.

I just bought a used 2005 prius, package #6. My wife and I have two Motorola e815 (Verizon) cell phones. We have successfully used each phone with the Prius bluetooth system.

HOWEVER, every time I turn the car on I have to repeat the pairing steps. I must use the "Add Phone" function on the Prius computer, and then use the "Settings" menu on my phone to complete the process. It does not matter which of the two cell phones I am using, I still have to repeat the steps.

Is there any way around this? Is it possible that something is wrong with the Prius computer?

It would be nice to just hop into the car and dial or receive calls through the Prius computer, without ever removing my cell phone from my pocket.

Thanks in advance for any advice or info.

LG CU320. Works just fine for making/receiving calls. Neither Battery nor Signal sync up, nor can I "beam" contacts to the car.

    Dear The Package,

I just bought my first Prius two weeks ago. My initial attempt to get my Verizon XV6600 phone to work failed even with the Toyota service man. I am hoping to find out any information that you might have to help me. I assume that the my phone is similar enough to yours except that mine runs Windows 3.0 and I believe that yours runs 5.0.

Can you tell me in a great detail as you can how you linked the phone to the Prius and what tricks you might have to offer me.

    Thanks.

My 2009 Prius Bluetooth works perfectly with my LG Revolution (Verizon 4LTE) when it's cold outside, but when the temperature becomes warm -- either from running the heater in winter or simply because in summertime the car's warm, the Bluetooth fails. Powering the phone off and on usually forces a connect. Stopping the car, turning the car off, and re-starting it will also usually force a re-connect. I think some part of the Bluetooth circuitry in the nav unit is drifting off frequency with temperature. My dealer won't even look at the problem, saying my phone, which otherwise works perfectly with the Prius is not on the "approved list." Anyone have any experience, knowledge, or guidance with this one? It's really annoying!

I've used my blackberry curve, Samsung a737, and wifes LG slide phone. Every phone I've tried has worked. Only tried the phone book transfer with the Blackberry however.
The samsung does not send the signal strength information to the car, the blackberry never would show a full battery charge on the console. Minor stuff like that.

My Tracfone LG420G was a breeze to set up, use and transfer entire phone book without a hitch (in 2003 Prius).
