"But what I would like to see is a way of creating our own logos!"

resize any picture to 800X480 and thats your logo, actually the flyaudio utility will do it

Got it to work with new logo. From the web I used a radioactive image 800x480.

Oh, the reason everyone is missing the instructions and downloads is that you have to click "Fuction" from the menu links below the Prius Radio Image on the Flyaudio site. Not very intuitive.

I also downloaded MSFramework net. 3.0 to get the program to run on win7 x86 version.

    Thanks guys.

I also saw the Version numbers of the software I have on the radio from one option.
    Here is what I saw.

    NAME Ver ____Sub version __Build
    OS __________1.0.0.1 _____2011.03.04
    System ______1.0.0.1 _____2010.12.10
    STR_UPD _____1.0.0.1 _____2010.12.09
    STR_SYS _____1.0.0.1 _____2011.03.10
    Blue_skin _____1.0.0.1 _____2011.03.10
    Orange_skin ___1.0.0.1 _____2011.03.10
    NK_Config ____1.0.0.1 ______2009.05.10
    STR_config ___1.0.0.1 ______2010.12.09
    SteerWheelig ___1.0.0.1 _____2010.11.08

    Ahhhh! Very nice.
    Thanks guys. Will try that.

    On the version numbers...
Looks like I got my car just a bit before some of those dates which makes me think that may be I don't have the latest firmware after all...

Is there a way to tell which version we have?

Well from the startup instructions to load the new images I selected "View version". This is how I got there.

(* Do at your own risk*)
1.) Put finger on center of screen. Don't release finger touch.
2.) Start Unit and don't release your finger until the screen turns solid green.
    3.) Remove finger.
4.) On the input screen with numbers enter 1630 then return key.
5.) Next view is of the following buttons:

    • View version
    • Update Logo
    • Advance options
    • Exit and start
You can also use the down arrow under the Exit and Start button to see more buttons. Use Exit button when done viewing versions.

The PDF for the "Update Logo" has these instructions if you download it from the flyaudio site.

    Yesssss. Works like a charm!
I actually put a very big logo file just to see if it would take it (756KB).

We actually have the same version numbers.
Except mine has an OS entry at he top.
    (in red, the differences...)

    NAME Ver ____Sub version __Build
    OS__________ 1.0.0.1_____2011.03.04
    System ______1.0.0.1 _____2011.12.10
    STR_UPD _____1.0.0.1 _____2010.12.09
    STR_SYS _____1.0.0.1 _____2010.03.10
    Blue_skin _____1.0.0.1 _____2011.03.10
    Orange_skin ___1.0.0.1 _____2011.03.10
    NK_Config ____1.0.0.1 ______2009.05.10
    STR_config ___1.0.0.1 ______2010.12.09
    SteerWheelig ___1.0.0.1 _____2010.11.08

I'm assuming you forgot the OS entry and shift a couple of entries.
Otherwise it would means that somehow we got different versions of this unit!

So, just to confirm, I actually picked up the car BEFORE those dates...
(May be they are not real dates...)

In any case, it feels great to be able to modify this box a little bit!
    Thanks.

Typo on my part I did my check in the dark outside. I rechecked my notes better.
I have my correct versions. My Nav invoice is dated 10/28/11 when it was sent to me.

The software dates are in European Format YYYY.MM.DD my newest one is March 10, 2011.

Is yours a typo for the System value, 2011?? or 2010 like mine.
    Anyone have something newer?

Can someone take a pic of this unit interfacing with an iPod? Does it display album art? Does it let you navigate to podcasts (either under its own heading or just listed with the regular music tracks?)

I assume the new price is $599 Plus $39 shipping plus customs charge of around $60-70 when UPS shows up at the door.

Too soon to have an informed opinion. I have limited miles on the car since the install (less than 200). Reception and sound quality seem to be better. I drive around town with KCBS news on AM most of the time.
But, I have been testing FM music and like what I hear.

My purchase was more about the "in dash" navigation and rear camera than a sound upgrade. I look at this as a near FREE upgrade. The resale value will be close to the cost of the unit.

Just installed the unit yesterday so if anyone has any questions let me know. Brokerage fees was the lowest I've seen on this forum at $33.75.

I'm looking to install a backup camera from a 2009 Camry rear camera and was wondering if anyone here has done it yet and if I can just just hook up the dc cable from the camera to the HU since it has a cable for it instead of having to "splice"- (not sure what that is either) from the console under the steering wheel into pin #29.

I have installed a 2009 Camry rear view camera and I tapped into the backup light cable to power the camera. I think if you use the HU DC cable, your camera would be on all the time instead of only when in reverse. The nice thing about Flyaudio HU is that you do not have to worry about connecting reverse or break cables to the HU to see your rear view camera or for your passangers to watch DVD while you are driving as it all could be enabled/disabled in the HU software.

For the rear view camera, all you have to worry about is connecting the yellow RCA video cable from your camera to the HU and once your camera is powered (when in reverse), Flyaudio automatically displays the camera video if you choose to enable this option in the Flyaudio menu.
