This radio is $399 plus installation! I want it, I need it... I'm gonna get it!!! They sell them at Best Buy and install them. You can watch Netflix on it but only if not moving due to a parking brake connection. I'm sure that could be removed somehow.

The downside to this is most service carriers are doingaway with unlimited data plans.

Fortunately, I am grandfathered on the unlimited data plan on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad. But if they did kill the unlimited data plans, I guess that I would have to use my iPhone for part of the month, my DD8's iPhone part of the month and then the iPad the other part.

Truthfully, I've really never ran my data to really unreasonable levels. So I wouldn't be in too much trouble with a 2 GB data plan. I was only half joking about the watching Netflix in the car.

I am never without my iPad. Truth is, my iPad already does almost everything this radio would do. Only real difference is that it is meant to be in the car. I've used it for GPS, Pandora, maybe an email (stopped).

Both of the vehicles I was using for daily drivers had a perfect place for the iPad. (2003 Lincoln Navigator & 2000 Honda Inisght MT) A funny thing is that the iPad fits in both of those vehicles securely with no modification. The 2008 Toyota Prius? Not so much.

Your Ipad is mounted exactly how I want to mount a 10.1" Android Tablet.. how did you do it? What hardware did you use? It looks great!

That is the total beauty of it... I did nothing. In one of those back only shell cases the iPad simply fits snugly under the dash of the 2000 Honda Insight. In the 2003 Lincoln Navigator, I open the long ashtray and it will sit right there and not move an inch. There way the dash is there is a little wall on either side of the iPad and the angle keeps it tilted.

I've looked on Youtube and have a couple ideas for the Prius ipad placement until the Pioneer App Radio is available in my market. Best Buy has them on display but doesn't have them in stock yet.

I was very wrong. I saw a video on Youtube about how to mount an iPad in the Prius. No modifications at all. It fits as if it was meant to be there.

The Personal Radio company AUPEO are currently running a competition on their facebook page to win three AppRadios... might be worth entering for those of you who haven't already bought one...

Too many glitches with the unit at the moment. Once they get the wrinkles ironed out it may be worth buying.
