Does it really matter who got the best deal? What is your definition of "Best Deal" Anyway? I signed up to pay MSRP and will be happy to drive my new Plug-In when it arrives.

I'm not trying to cause trouble here, but it says by your avatar that you purchased the advanced model PiP (so you may not have to worry about an extra $500 as other people who only got the standard trim). Getting a 'good deal' was important for me, not because I want to brag about the price I got, but because the price I will pay is just about beyond/at my limit. Had Dianne not given me a good deal, I may not be driving the many EV miles I hope to in my new PiP this spring.

    To each his own...

I got a good price and I got Dianne. I am counting on her to help me get my car shipped to Minnesota next spring. :)

If you didn't care about price, I suspect you would not have clicked the thread titled Pricing. :)

I assist my family and friends in negotiating for new vehicle purchases on one or two occasions per year and want to know how I did so I can improve in the future.

The more information is out in the community, the better prices we will get and the faster we can upgrade to a new car (less out of pocket, higher relative retained residual value upon sale). I am always happy to pay less for the same car, especially since CA charges ~10% tax up front and a percentage of the price paid every year in registration fees.

    +1, Congratulations.

A local dealer agreed to an extra $250 off an Advanced PiP ($750 discount total). Saved 100 miles of driving, bridge toll as well.

Wondering if anybody else did better. I heard of another member getting $750 off a base car which I thought was great!
