Prices of petrol stations close to highway:

    Ireland: €1.54/l
UK: (not necessary to fill up as 1 tank was fine to cross UK)
    France: €1.64/l
    Holland/Belgium: €1.79/l
    Germany: ~€1.70/l TBC
    Poland: €1.24/l

Small service was done in Poland(as I was bit late to do it in Ireland):
Oil purchased: castrol edge 0w30 A5/B5 4x1l (at oil&filters specialized shop)
Oil changed at toyota main dealer.
    Also replaced the following:
-12V aux battery to VARTA Blue Dynamic 45Ah L+/330A 238x129x227mm (purchased separately and replaced @toyota - fits perfect)
    -pollen filter
    -air filter
    -oil filter
-technician measured thickness of the disc's and brake pads all around
-computer codes were read+reseted (one code B1421 displayed, related to air con)

Total cost of above materials + labour ~€250, cost of journey (i need to calculate it)

Will post some pictures later - like always thanks everyone for help.

PS: It was a long journey :) prius was great at every part of it...

I would imagine you are running max. weight in your Prius considering there are four of you plus luggage. Those are good numbers considering the speed you are traveling! I never exceed 100 kil. unless down hill. Have a good trip. Hal

I like the way that you use more fuel on the way home - must be all those extra pounds from Christmas food ;)

I had about 1 finger clearance between stock 1955516 tires and the body. There is still some 4-6 cm inside clearance as this tire can go deeper into the body- yes i would say car was really heavy. Considering my passengers brought heavy luggage. The dog was only 15kgs. :)

How'd you find the Eurotunnel? We went through it the other year and would never go on a ferry again. It's so quick and easy, though not so good if you're claustrophobic.

I guess I was thinking only about kilometers=hours that I need to drive ahead of me and Eurotunnel was just a really short (timewise) distance. I completely used this time to take a provisional sleep as I had more km's to my destination.

I wonder if cars were ever allowed to drive inside the tunnel before the trian?

No [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_Tunnel]Channel Tunnel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

They do drive down the smaller, middle service tunnel but these are just service vehicles. I believe one of the original plans was a road tunnel but the present tunnel allows both cars and high speed trains to pass through - more bang for your buck I guess.

Do you know what they did when they took a leg of the Tour de France over to Britain Grumpy? Did they let them cycle through the service tunnel or did they make them ride the train?

5.5 L/100km is good for a those speeds and conditions. :)

7.1 L/100km (33 MPG US), wow those 150km/h speeds are a real fuel efficiency killer.

Good to see the trip went well.

What sort of dog have you got?

We are just thinking were to go with ours at Easter. Thinking we will pick up were last years trip left off and start in the Verdon gorge.

Did you get the windows tinted in Dublin, I have been thinking of doing the same to ours to help protect our dog from the sun.
