Can anyone recommend an independent shop that specializes in repairing Toyotas in the Los Angeles/Glendale/Pasadena area?

I need a good Prius diagnostician whom I can pay to take some time to look carefully at my problem. A dealership cannot do that.

I have a recommendation for Avi's Advanced Automotive on Figueroa, and I'd like a couple more before I spend some serious money.

I have a recommendation for Art's Automotive, but Art's in Berkeley.

Anyone in this area have a good experience with an independent shop?

Actually, Avi's is real near by, so I'll be talking with him today.

Got an update on this? How was Avi? I'm in Eagle Rock and would love to find a non-dealer for oil changes, etc. Thanks!

Avi was great. A bit overbooked, in the sense that he has a large number of cars awaiting his attention, but he took time out to look at mine. He found a loose bolt! It was on the flange of a connector that was supposed to keep water out of the connection. Tightening it fixed my problem. He didn't even charge me! (But I did slip him $40 in a handshake.)
