I think a lot of the reliability of the kit is down to the install, and pre-install testing. If your installer has a bad charger, or bad BMS, he can just swap it out with a new one. Like i say, it seems once you have a kit running ok it stays that way.

Im glad you said that because my installer made that same assessment to
me when I first spoke to him. He also claimed that is biggest reason Enginer no longer allows you to buy kits directly from them.

Yeah, i know they have shipped hundreds of kits, but there definitely aren't hundreds of people complaining it doesn't work in their forum. Probably the people who have had a succesfull install never register so we never hear from them.

I hope everything goes ok with your install!

I appreciate that. It seems Enginer has such a negative stigma that people just expect system failure. I look at it as we are beta testers for this system. Albeit we had to pay a fraction of the cost of say a complete 99% reliable Hymotion but if I get 92% the performance at 25% cost how is that a bad investment.

Stefano - any update? I assume you have had the Enginer 4kwh kit onboard for a number of months now. I am thinking of adding one to my 2011 Prius and would love to hear about your experience... Thanks!
