So I just bought a 2005 Prius and the speaker on the right door sounds blown. The bass sounds so bad. I'm thinking about just replacing a lot of the speakers. What are some compatible speakers that would work with this 2005 with JBL audio? I want something with decent bass because I will not be adding a aftermarket sub. I would also like decent highs. I was hoping to replace the front and rear ones and have best buy install them or do it myself if it is not hard. I just don't know what speaker sizes work and what speakers are compatible. Thanks. I think I have the 9 speakers option.

Only made it to the which model audio page, I hope you can take it from there;)

If you walk into Best Buy unknowing, they have everything you need.
If you deal with Crutchfield, you have the option of installing, they supply everything.
Why don't you complain about JBL to JBL, good luck:)

You're not going to get decent bass without a subwoofer and if you try to make midrange speakers produce bass then you will likely blow them again no matter how much you spend on the speakers. If you like bass I would consider adding some sort of dedicated system for bass. :)

First of all, Best Buy will not help you in any way shape or form. They don't sell component speakers. the OP said he has the 9 speaker package meaning he has all components. Using Crutchfields selection guide is all well in fine, but all it is matching for you is what speakers will physically fit into the vehicle. What Crutchfield is not taking into account is the fact that the door speakers in your car are 2.6 ohm speakers, and the tweeters are 6 ohm speakers. So you essentially have two options: Put in a higher impedance speaker, you will have no risk of blowing the amp, but you will have reduced sound level by anywhere from 50 - 100% OR option 2 is put in a lower ohm speaker in which you will have much higher decibels, but I do not know that the JBL amp can handle a lower ohm rating than what is already in there....My suggestion is to ask if anyone has replaced the speakers with diferent impedance's and see their results.....
