    Hello all,

I have had a 2nd gen a few years ago and gave it up for a sports car for some time. Now I only have a SUV which I cannot get rid of for towing etc, so debating getting a Prius again. My past one ran so well and the MPG was so amazing, now with 0% really debating getting the car again.

I found one III in my area in the color combo I want and did the truecar.com site thing and it looks like with the rebate you should be able to get the car around $23,300.

Just wondering a few things, did anyone get a 3 close to this? I know the one I am looking at has two extra options on it which I don't want so not sure if thats gonna be an issue but don't want to pay for them.

Also, anyone have the USA Spec installed and working ok? I really would like ipod integration but not sure I can pass up the 0% to get a 2012 next year sometime.

Its amazing how many Prius's there are all over the lots in eastern PA, especially since Oil is probably going to jump again due to the middle east mess going on again.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Yeah its a III wo nav. Really would prefer ipod integration and was debating a II and then swapping the radio, but not jumping up and down to change out the entire dash and ruin the factory look.

Think I will go with the III and get a USA spec adapter for the ipod and live with it that way.

Now we'll have to see what the dealer is willing to do for the discount, may end up trying the www.truecar.com site for the first time if the local dealer won't work with me.

There are options for aftermarket headunits that do not "destroy" the factory look...you can find them in the electronics forum. Also, what rebate are you referring to?

Rebate in PA is $1k cash from Toyota, or you can take the %0 for 5 years.

Ok, got a price quote for $23,700 for a Prius III with 0% for 60 months. Assuming this looks good after comparing to the truecar.com pricing and its the colors I woud like.

yeah my local dealer wouldn't come even close to truecar.com quote. make sure for options, you check the floor mats since they won't sell you a prius without it.

I'm the opposite of you, I can't wait to get in to the car and rip everything apart. So I bought a Prius II a week ago for $100 below truecar.com - OTD $23,300 ($21,200 negotiated price) but I had to drive 40 miles. I also recommend getting a print out of truecar cause the price fluctuate all the time once you get a good price.

Well after 3 separate test drives over the past few days, I have decided to hold off. Took one for a 20 mile look today and not sure the seats will pass my approval. I will hold off for a bit as I don't need a car this instant and see what all changes in the next year. Thanks to all for advice and input.

Try to hold out and find a dealer that honors the truecar.com price, especially with a now "dated" 2011. I just purchased mine for truecar.com price + govt costs (tax, tag, etc). 2011 Two for 22,300 - ( even lower after a 1k recent college grad discount )

interesting, truecar does show the 1k rebate but in 2007 when i bought mine, i was able to combine the then $500 rebate with 0% financing. are you sure they won't combine?
