I noticed the 37 degree alert too. I just thought it happened whenever the temperature changes by N degrees. Nice feature.

...also if the night sky is clear, there can be radiative cooling to create ice/frost on surfaces above 32F, probably as high as 37F.

We had a bad morning with freak accidents in 2001, when after a night rainfall, the skies cleared briefly before daylight. We actually got sued that morning because a delivery guy fell on our driveway. We were found not guilty in court, but what a hassle.

I know this is an old thread, but it's really interesting that this happens! I've noticed it a few times now, and I was going to start a thread asking why it's never 38° F outside for my Prius - when it's 38° F outside, it will keep showing alternating notifications that it's either 37 or 39. It's like 38° is the forbidden border temperature for the Prius. I do appreciate the explanation as to why it highlights whenever it's 37 degrees. It's kinda funny though since most of the time here in the winter, when it gets to 37, the temperature is rising, not falling.
