My turn to feel stupid and ask a dumb question.

I bought some highly rated Bosch Evolution wiper blades for the front, and the installation pictures look easy. So, I took them out to the car thinking it's a two minute job, and...crap, how the heck do you get the old ones off? I don't see any removable pins or clips like I was expecting. Help please. :)

I was gonna suggest vise grips, a hammer, and duct tape....but if you wann use the release catch, that's your choice.!

OK, I am new here, I ordered my Prius in June 2008 and they sent me the 2009 in Sept, said they had no more 2008's, any way, I am disabled, my left arm and hand does not work well (spinal injury) I am wanting to replace the front wipers, blades and holders. I was wanting to install a set of Bosch blades. How do I do it and can it be done with 1 good hand and one bad hand? Otherwise I will need to have my son-in-law do it for me. but still need to know how to do it? Old school here and back in the 60's and 70's it was so much easier!! Thanks

yes J-hook wiper replacement is very easy, yes it can be done with one hand, no you could not change the rear wiper blade with only one hand (in case you were wondering), but why not put the son-in-law to some good use?

Thanks, told my son-in-law and he popped them right off and put my new Bosch wipers right on. BUT, he used both hands!!! That is why I couldn't do it!!! LOL
