Want to remove cheap-looking plastic wheel covers on new Prius V, but I need a center cap to cover the gaping hole in the middle. How do I order them? and does anybody have a "best price" recommendation?
    Many thanks. . .

I was pleasantly surprised when I removed those plastic covers, pretty nice wheels hiding under there...I purchased a set of the center caps earlier this week at my local dealer, here's the part number for ya.

    2012 v3

    Part #42603-52110... $ 60.90 out the door.

A google search on that part # shows several places for $12-15, apparently per cap, so $60 for a set is reasonable. These are Yaris caps apparently, but it's just the standard Toyota logo.

Lost one of the pretty plastic hubcaps in the recent snow, so I am definitely going this route.

Many thanks - I checked them out. Finally found the parts at Toyotapart.com for $11.77 each, plus shipping. UPS ground put the total cost at an even $60 for four center caps.
Ordered them - hoping for the best. Wife thought Prius v plastic wheel covers looked "cheezy." Had to agree.

SORRY, BUT THAT PART NUMBER DOESN'T FIT THE PRIUS V.

Got four from UPS - an online dealer sent them. The part number you quoted is 2.25 inches in diameter - the Prius v opening is 2.5". The nice parts guy took my caps back, and will send out the right ones on Monday. So goes the battle. . .

OK - whadda mess. My chap at toyotapart.com and I have figgered it out. What I needed was part # 42603-12730. That one fits, the one posted earlier on this forum was a quarter inch to small.
If you want to order, they're 11.95 each at toyotapart.com.
    Thanks. LarryR

This is the part number pictured...42603-52110, local dealer discounted to $14.00 each.

The first set he gave me were to small...order the part number above and you'll be fine, if you have this style wheel or course.

    So, I'm confused now :-/
    I have 16in wheels.

    Do I need part number 42603-52110 or 42603-12730 ?

The wheels pictured above are the stock 16" that came on my 2012 v Three wagon, I listed the part # you'll need, that number was on the invoice when he handed me the parts, pretty simple.

Welcome to "confused!" Toyotapart.com sent me sealed caps bearing the 52110 label. I carefully unpacked one, and it was a quarter-inch too small. Called Toyotapart and they did some research, even going out to a Prius v on their lot to check! Indeed, they said the 52110 was for the "regular" Prius - and then the nice guy, Greg, dug into their parts store, finally getting some caps that were 2.5 inches in diameter, and ordering 4 for me. Service? Yep.
OK - I've got the base Prius v with the 16-inch wheels - NOT the upgrade 17-inch ones.
The caps should be here the first of next week - and I'll post a report at that time.
    Hoping for the best!
Meanwhile, the Prius v driver's seat has proven to be a back-killer. Had to turn around the headrest and put an inflatable lumbar support pillow - or I simply could not drive it. Bummer!!!

Question: Was the number on the invoice, or on the plastic bags containing the caps? Just because the invoice listed a number, doesn't necessarily mean it is correct. Just a thought. . .

You might be right Larry, the bag # would have been the go to #, unfortunately the number I posted came off the invoice, and very well may have been wrong...if any of you have been chasing your tail on this I apologize if my listing turns out to be incorrect.

Like I said earlier, the first set the parts monkey handed me from his inventory were wrong, then he pulled up my model and year on the microfiche and placed the order with Toyota from that screen and generated an invoice, parts arrived the next morning.

    Anyway...good luck guys.

    This is my first post...

I discovered this forum when I was researching those pesky little center caps.

I still can't figure out why they would cover those nice wheels with plastic and I don't think it has to do with MPG, since the upper end models come with 17" wheels and no plastic, with MPG still listed the same.

    Anyway...

I have basically narrowed down my search to the same part numbers that you guys listed (42603-52110 & 42603-12730). Here's the problem that I'm running into: When I do a parts search on any Toyota parts site, neither one of those parts come up for a 2012 Prius v, 5211 comes up for a 2011 Prius and 12730 comes up for a bunch of different Toyota's, none of which are a Prius.

And to make things even more confusing the center cap in the pic that trusound posted (which BTW looks great!) looks like the ticket for my 16"wheels, but my wheels look different than his! ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!! At this point I feel like I'm back to square one! Once Larry get's his parts and he can lay a pic on us, that will help clear things up...I hope.

    P.S. I Love my new car!

    I ordered these: httpzzzz://toyota-parts.toyotapart.com/search/index?query=42603-12730
REMOVE THE zzzz's FOR THE LINK TO WORK. I don't have 5 posts yet, so I can't post the correct link.

The information below is exactly from the website.

    ALUMINUM WHEEL CENTER CAP
    Part #42603-12730
These fit the Prius V. If you need them for the standard Prius you will need to order 42603-52110.

    Beautiful!

I had been on that site a few days ago and did a search for that part number and under description, it was blank. Looks like multiple inquiries may have got them to finally post a description.

    Thanks for the heads up!
