I liked Sandy Beach, Blizzard Pearl, and that blue color. Ended up with Barcelona Red for $4000 lower than sticker and so far can't complain. It's a nice change, all of our cars have been white or silver since we usually buy the special/newspaper ad cars which are not hot movers.

My Tundra and 08 Prius were white, and my Eclipse was black with a grey top.....I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER BLACK CAR! Wash and detail it and then 20 minutes later, dirty again...smh:mad:

Ditto, as I've had 2 black & 1 dark blue cars in the past so I know. They're great after washing but even couple hours later after particles & dust starts settling in, drove me crazy especially the black:eek:.

I grew up outside Phoenix and was always astonished at how many people drove black cars in the seventies and eighties. When I go back to visit family, I'm always relieved to see how much more popular white and other light colors are now. I suppose that I saw more black cars back then because with the huge rate of immigration (from the midwest and the east) the vast majority of our neighbors had only lived in Arizona briefly and hadn't yet had the masochistic experience of getting into a dark car in a Phoenix summer before the bought or brought a black one to Arizona.

Now that we live outside Boston, my wife is afraid of owning a white car for fear that it won't be seen by plows or other drivers during a blizzard. :D

I just got a 2012 in Sea Glass Pearl (funny I first thought it said Sea Grass Pearl). I really like it, less boring than my previous Silver Classic. It also seems to look very different in various lighting conditions; it's like I can't figure out what to tell people it is, green or blue. I think the official registration now says green, but the people at the RMV have no imagination... :)

My Prius is Barcelona Red, which I love. My friend at the body shop sells a lot of used cars (he fixes and resells them) an he said that, for good resale, go with white, black, or silver. Always easiest to sell. A purple or pink car is hardest to sell. The Sea Glass Pearl... who knows?

I have the 2011 Dark Gray, but really wanted that minty light green. They didn't have it available in 2011.

I really like the dark gray though, and i have had 3 other cars the same color before!

I bought a BP since it looked so nice compared to other white cars & looks great with tinted windows. :D I've owned one black car - never again. I love the dark grey but it shows dirt almost as bad as black, I had a 07 Matrix in the same color & was difficult to keep clean. My silver metallic 09 Corolla & 07 Corolla are easy to keep looking good as are my white Previa & MR2. I've owned a few red cars & they are more difficult to kept nice over the years as red oxidizes quicker so keep them waxed up & protected!

I am loving the winter gray with dark gray interior. The dark grey interior is thet only interior with accents, various other colors of gray. selecting the right color was very difficuly.

If i wasnt so messy I wouldve done the white with light grey, couldnt find the white with dark gray anywhere.

    Good luck on your pick!

I'm usually very "classic" in my color choices. Black, Grey...

Last weekend at the Toyota dealership saw the Seaglass Pearl. Have to admit nice color.

In person, very mercurial. I think it looks better in person, than in pictures.

That Seaglass Pearl is amazing in person. I have had my eye's set on Blizzard Pearl ever since I seen it in 2010 so that is my color choice for my '12 Prii. Besides, you can't get Seaglass Pearl in the Plus package :(

No, but I've tried many traditional carnauba waxes (Zymol, One Grand Blitz, etc.) and polymers (RejeX), and my comments above apply in all cases.

Why would Zaino be any different?

People are still using Zaino? Wow, that brings me back. :D

    Try Ultima.

A little pricey initially, but you use so little, the stuff lasts forever. And it's the absolute easiest (higher end) thing I ever used (and i've pretty much tried it all).

I'd like to hear more about people's interior color choices. I think I'm leaning towards the beige for the contrast and warmth.

I've gone with white vehicles recently, although prior to that I did have black, blue, gold, silver, and red.

Darker colors show dirt & scratches SO much more than light colors. Silver was probably the most forgiving. The other consideration I use for color choice is how well it can be seen. Dark & light greys, silvers, and muted colors just don't "pop". Most of us have had the experience of not really seeing a car that was grey or silver. They have a tendency to "blend" into the road surface. Incidently, when my father was a state trooper, he always requested his cars in grey without external markings, on the belief that they were a little less noticeable.

While I'm not out to impress anyone with a Prius, I DO want other drivers to see the car... for safety's sake.

I'm really happy with the Blizzard Pearl. It's a little more jazzy than plain white, and looks modern, clean, and fresh.

Didn't at first have a choice since my dealership ran out of the Prius 11 but they searched & found a Silver but that car once they got it on their lot had 2 chips in the windshield & so they were able to locate another Prius 11 in the Sandy color with no chips in the windshield. Once I saw what Toyota terms Sandy was actually Gold to me I fell in love with that color over the Silver. No regrets with the Gold. Glad the Silver had chips in the windshield.

That's exactly why a beige interior was my first priority. I love the warm color and the lightness of the interior. I'm being extra careful to keep it clean, which isn't a bad thing.

I was between red and blizzard pearl, came down to certified vs not certified. Some days I wish I had red just so I could get more satisfaction from cleaning up a shiny red car, and have a more unique color :)

Always kept to light colors like Silver, White, but I do like Black on most cars. A real pain to keep clean, but looks great.

This time, my wife picked the car she wanted. It's Red. I've never owned or taken care of a bright Red car. This is a first. The color is OK the more I see it. Red would have been at the bottom of the pile next to the strange Gold color on the '11s. At least it looks strange to me on a Gen III Prius.

Right about the light tan interior. Very nice and light. Do wish the Gen III had the same dead pedal that the Gen II had. It kept the sole of the shoe off the carpet completely.

Will have to come up with some kind of solution for this. In messy weather, that light carpet will get stained badly if nothing is done.

I am loving the Winter Grey here as well, and am like you wanted a dark grey interior for the same reasons as you. There was no way I was going to do the Bisque interior when I was first looking at the 2011's.
