Can we place the key with credit cards, cellphones etc. and not have any adverse effects to any magnetized strips? Thanks.

Some credit cards come with RFIDs as well as magnetic strips... So I would have to say, you don't have to worry about the RFIDs affecting magnetic strips. Cellphones also puts out Magnetic interference (As you will note, those strange, loud 'chik-chik' and 'buzzing' sounds you hear from your speakers, that is RF interference created by the cellphone.

Your fob will not cause any trouble, but a cell phone may drain the battery in your fob. The general advice is to keep your cell phone away from your SKS fob. If you keep them in your pockets, use pockets on the opposite sides of your body.

The signal from a cell phone can cause the fob to respond. Doing this over and over will wear down the fob battery.
