Guess some people are never happy!!! As many many Prius owners have noted, the total cost of ownwership of a Prius is just ridiculously low!!! With no belts under the hood,, there just not that much to do for routine maintenance,,, I just bought my 2nd Prius a 2010 to compliment my 1 st one a 2008 mainly cause my wife and I would argue over who got to drive the first one!!! Well not heated arguments :)
But now were. Both happy. Think my next car might be the plug in Prius once one of these Priuses finally wears out. :)

No doubt, what constitutes the most suitable car is a very individual thing. Those that think the Prius is too noisy probably won't like most smaller cars and would certainly HATE the Fit, which is also an excellent car, but noisier than the Prius. For me, the Prius has turned out to the the absolute perfect car and I also think it is fun to drive. My sister in law hated the gen II when she tried it and bought a civic hybrid instead. Fortunately, there are alternatives to the Prius at a similar cost for those that do not find it suitable, albeit with somewhat lower mileage.

Compared to my last car... The Prius is a lot quieter (Nissan Sentra 96). But of course, people who haven't driven older cars like me probably never went through all that as much as I have.
